About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Dermatology Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Preferred Dermatology Partners. As a Laboratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dermatopathologists in their daily tasks, ensuring that all laboratory procedures are performed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist dermatopathologists in day-to-day tasks such as coordinating send-out and receipt of consult specimens, communication of unexpected findings, and other administrative tasks.
  • Log appropriate information into the laboratory information system.
  • Enter diagnostic information for the pathologist.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent typing skills, proficient with computers.

Working Environment: Our laboratory is a fast-paced environment where you will be working closely with dermatopathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely processing of diagnostic results.
