Job Overview
This accounting staff-level role is primarily focused on supporting transaction accounting, monthly closing processes, financial reporting, and internal control activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and organize accounting files and records as assigned.
  • Analyze financial data and trends by creating spreadsheet reports and verifying information for accuracy.
  • Prepare transactions (e.g., journal entries, cash disbursements, cash receipts) and perform account reconciliations.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data prior to processing in Deltek Vision.
  • Assist in reviewing and maintaining accounting procedures, recommending opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts.
  • Meet all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deadlines.
  • Support budget versus actual reporting and variance analysis as necessary.
  • Proactively communicate potential issues to the Manager.
  • Initiate monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities.
  • Participate in special projects, analyses, and ad-hoc tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 1-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred industry experience in Engineering or Architecture.
  • Strong attention to detail, deadline-oriented, and excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of GAAP and FAR regulations.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision systems is preferred.
  • Client-focused, always striving to provide optimal solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a diverse and inclusive team environment, working towards technical excellence.
