Registered Nurse Opportunity at Sentara Healthcare

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Sentara Healthcare. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

About the Role

This is a part-time position working weekend days only, with a 24-hour schedule. You will be working on the Medicine Unit, providing care to acute and chronic care patients with a variety of comorbidities. We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and flexible nurse who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and admit patients, conducting thorough evaluations and developing individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure informed decision-making
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a degree or diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program, or be a registered nurse with a current license in North Carolina or Virginia. You must also possess a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, with a focus on patient-centered care.
