POSITION SUMMARY

The Logistics Operator is responsible for executing a variety of tasks related to warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Engage in essential activities related to the receiving process:

  • Process Intercompany Purchase Orders.
  • Conduct Volume and Manifest transactions.
  • Investigate details concerning incoming shipments.
  • Organize and store parts in inventory.

Participate in fundamental tasks associated with the shipping process:

  • Coordinate the delivery of parts for offsite locations or customer pickups.
  • Create necessary shipping documentation, including Airway Bills, invoices, and Shippers Letters of Instructions.
  • Manage manual shipments and perform UOM conversions.
  • Handle both domestic and international shipping.

Contribute to warehouse organization and management:

  • Analyze material movements to track parts, serial numbers, and changes in quantity.
  • Execute stock transfers, labeling, and packing of parts as required.
  • Conduct cycle counts and re-counts.
  • Manage the return of re-certified or repaired stock materials.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • May involve handling the shipping and receiving of hazardous materials.
  • Address emergencies such as system outages or expedited parts requests.
  • May require managing hazardous material documentation and international shipping paperwork.
  • Propose enhancements to operational processes and tasks.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED is mandatory.

Experience:

  • Intermediate level role requiring basic skills to perform standard tasks, with 1-3 years of relevant experience in warehouse or manufacturing settings preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of technical or functional areas is necessary.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new information within the role.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and teamwork orientation.
  • Forklift certification and proficiency in operating machinery and power tools.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving operations.
  • Understanding of inventory management systems and methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to navigate SAP systems.
  • A valid Driver's License is essential.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
  • Adhere to productivity and accuracy standards.
  • Comply with safety regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards.
  • Flexibility to work various hours and shifts as needed.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Subject to random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with regulations.
