Position Summary

We are in search of a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity program and portfolio management, operational oversight, financial administration, technical documentation, and proposal development. The successful candidate will possess advanced knowledge in cost, schedule, and performance management, alongside a proven history of establishing and expanding new initiatives. This role is pivotal in securing new business, crafting persuasive white papers, and steering cybersecurity projects towards successful outcomes. The individual will work closely with the Business Unit Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the planning, execution, and delivery of intricate cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and client expectations.
  • Create high-quality technical documentation, including white papers, proposals, and reports that clearly convey technical concepts and solutions.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, formulate competitive proposals, and oversee the proposal development lifecycle from conception to submission.
  • Manage program budgets, timelines, and performance indicators to guarantee successful outcomes within defined scope, time, and budgetary limits.
  • Lead and mentor a team of cybersecurity experts, promoting a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Provide operational oversight and strategic guidance to ensure effective implementation and management of cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Engage with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders to comprehend requirements, deliver updates, and ensure satisfaction with program results.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and materials for internal use and for presentation to executive leadership.
  • Assist in the creation of marketing collateral, including presentations, whitepapers, service descriptions, and tailored capability briefs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Business). An advanced degree (MBA, MS) is preferred.
  • Over 8 years of experience in program management, technical writing, and proposal development within the cybersecurity sector.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cost, schedule, and performance management principles and practices.
  • Expertise in technical writing, with the ability to present complex technical ideas clearly and concisely. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project is required.
  • Significant experience in managing cybersecurity programs, including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, threat hunting, risk management, compliance, and incident response.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to cultivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, CISM) are highly advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with federal government, commercial contracts, and procurement processes.
  • Proven success in capturing and expanding new business opportunities.
  • Operational experience within the IT and cybersecurity domains.
