Position Overview
As a Senior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist at TekRecruiter, you will play a pivotal role in managing the daily operations of our proactive Cyber Defense Center. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supervising the routine activities of the Cyber Defense Center to ensure that all service level objectives are consistently achieved.
  • Managing cybersecurity incidents by implementing containment strategies and conducting comprehensive forensic investigations.
  • Collaborating with various internal teams to ensure a unified response to cybersecurity challenges.
  • Assessing vulnerabilities exposed by security incidents and recommending improvements to enhance protective measures.
  • Developing, refining, and maintaining protocols and policies for incident management.
  • Creating and enhancing scenarios for threat detection within Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
  • Analyzing logs and security event data to initiate advanced threat hunting operations.
  • Engaging in continuous learning about emerging cyber threats and system vulnerabilities to improve team responsiveness and capabilities.
  • Assisting in simulated cyber attack exercises and penetration testing activities.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • A minimum of three years of demonstrated experience in Security Operations and responding to cybersecurity incidents.
  • Proficient in using SIEM tools such as Splunk or ELK for data analysis and security insights.
  • Expertise in both offensive and defensive cybersecurity strategies, with familiarity in the MITRE ATT&CK framework or similar methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools and solutions, including intrusion detection and prevention systems, Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms.
  • Good understanding of network protocols, various operating systems, and fundamental cybersecurity principles and technologies.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIA, GCIH, GCFE, GCFA, GREM, Splunk Power User, or equivalent credentials will be advantageous.
  • Additional security certifications from recognized organizations will be considered a plus.
  • Experience with forensic software and malware analysis is a valuable asset.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP is beneficial.
  • Able to thrive in a structured, process-driven global organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, primarily in English.
