Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (with occasional evenings and weekends)

Position Purpose:

This role is responsible for managing the operations of the customer service center within the Maintenance and Operations department. The individual will analyze and implement comprehensive process enhancements across all facets of Maintenance and Operations. Additionally, this position serves as the main contact for the department's safety and technical training initiatives, while overseeing maintenance excellence projects and special assignments as directed by senior management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Google Workspace; experience with project management and building automation software.
  • Understanding of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; exceptional organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, utilizing various techniques to ensure clear information flow and collaboration.
  • Proactive approach with a focus on technical knowledge to enhance deliverables, ensuring meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Capacity to thrive in a team-oriented environment that encourages the sharing of ideas.
  • Ability to cultivate and maintain productive relationships with staff, external partners, and vendors.

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Facilities Management, Community Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Other combinations of education, training, and experience that provide the necessary knowledge and skills may be considered.

Certification and License Requirements:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license in accordance with state regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with IBM Maximo software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the management of Maintenance and Operations processing technicians and the customer service center, ensuring accuracy in work and data management.
  2. Provide analytical insights and recommendations to leadership regarding process improvements in Maintenance and Operations.
  3. Evaluate safety and technical training requirements, implementing and managing training programs and databases.
  4. Lead the maintenance excellence professional learning team, establishing shared goals and overseeing the execution of recommendations.
  5. Manage invoicing and resolve issues in accordance with organizational guidelines.
  6. Facilitate communication between central services staff, school personnel, and other stakeholders.
  7. Administer work orders, contracts, feasibility studies, and long-term planning efforts.
  8. Prepare and disseminate reports as necessary.
  9. Adhere to organizational policies and safe work practices.
  10. Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

This position is situated in a professional office setting with a generally low to moderate noise level. The role involves regular use of standard office equipment, including computers and copiers. Occasional travel may be required to various locations within the county.
