We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide advanced-level respiratory care to patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to diagnose, evaluate, treat, manage, and control deficiencies or abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic testing procedures, interpret results, and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
- Administer medications safely and effectively, monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory therapy techniques and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Graduate of an AMA-approved program for Respiratory Therapy.
- Current license for Respiratory Therapy in the state of practice.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- Health Care Provider Life Support certification.
- ACLS certification for critical care.
- Membership in national professional organizations (AARC, NBRC).
- One year of acute or critical care experience.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent interactions with patients, families, and healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based setting.
