Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate travel position in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of recent acute care experience and possess the necessary certifications, including NBRC-RRT, BLS, and ACLS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment, ensuring proper function and reporting malfunctions to the director.
  • Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
  • Interact with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in acute care
  • NBRC-RRT certification
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • PALS and NRP certifications may be required in some areas

The successful candidate will be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus, are also required.
