Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Ivinson Memorial Hospital. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing education and information on mental illnesses and psychiatric medications to patients, coordinating healthcare teams, and keeping up to date on new psychiatric medications and protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Provide education and information on mental illnesses and psychiatric medications to patients individually and within a group setting.
  • Coordinate healthcare teams and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel as needed.
  • Stay current on new psychiatric medications and protocols to ensure the best possible care for patients.
  • Transcribe, utilize, and implement protocols and physician orders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Must have a current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming and be in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
  • Must have current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 60 days of hire and maintain credentials throughout employment with IMH.
  • Must certify in a de-escalation program as outlined by Ivinson Memorial Hospital within the first four months of hire and re-certify every year thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Annual completion of yearly required CEUs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
