About the Role

Bowman Consulting Group, Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Landscape Architect III to join our team in Fort Myers, FL. As a key member of our landscape architecture studio, you will be responsible for leading the execution of landscape architectural design on assigned projects, working closely with senior staff members, and providing leadership in project design, production, and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of landscape architectural design on assigned projects, applying extensive knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Work closely with senior staff members to perform landscape architecture work, reviewing work produced by staff for quality assurance.
  • Design strategies to address client budgets and needs, preparing hardscape and landscape plans for urban settings, streetscapes, parks, and recreation areas.
  • Perform plant inventory and evaluations, carrying out technical and administrative assignments, tabulations, cost estimates, and consulting with clients, engineers, and architects on specifications and needs of overall projects.
  • Present design projects to required legislative bodies or municipality commissions, reviewing proposed design change orders and making recommendations as needed.
  • Utilize and assist less experienced staff in understanding technical policies and procedures during the execution of projects for clients, maintaining a working knowledge of federal, state, and local codes and permitting requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field; or commensurate relevant work experience in landscape design.
  • Master's degree a plus.
  • Seven or more direct professional experience working within a landscape architecture studio/office through all phases of design managing/leading projects of various scales and complexity.
  • Landscape Architect Registration preferred or pending completion within 6 months.
  • Appreciation and understanding of land development process and desire to contribute in design of housing, commercial, mixed-use, and industrial site plans and work directly with our multidisciplinary team.
