  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively contribute to the development of a resilient EHS culture as a vital member of the Facility EHS Team.
  • Engage in coaching initiatives across all employee levels to promote exemplary EHS performance.
  • Regularly review and revise safety policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as corporate standards.
  • Conduct EHS audits and inspections routinely to verify compliance and pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Monitor and ensure the closure of corrective actions identified during audits and inspections.
  • Enhance safety awareness throughout the facility by employing established and innovative risk reduction strategies.
  • Assist in managing investigations related to workers' compensation, liability, or property claims, focusing on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Participate in facility safety committees to foster collaboration and communication.
  • Facilitate EHS training sessions to educate employees on safety practices.
  • Represent the organization during safety inspections conducted by federal, state, and local authorities, as necessary.
  • Track and manage EHS metrics, ensuring effective communication of goals to facility leadership and staff.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support EHS initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations and industry best practices.
  • Certifications such as GSP or ASP are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Management Systems like ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction in both individual and group settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and engage others effectively.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, performing various physical tasks as required.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and flexibility to work non-traditional hours as needed.
