About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team at AbbVie. As an EHS Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement EHS programs and initiatives to protect employees, facilities, and the environment.
- Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment, and control planning to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance and training to employees and contractors on EHS policies and procedures.
- Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in EHS, Engineering, or a related field, plus 3 years of EHS experience, or Associate Degree and Advanced Safety Specialist Certification, plus 8 years of EHS experience.
- Professional EHS or Engineering certification is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects and tasks.
