Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide exceptional customer service, support staff through various HR-related tasks, and collaborate with colleagues to drive process improvements. Your expertise in human resources will enable us to maintain a productive and efficient work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Staff Support: Collaborate with school administrators to ensure the timely and accurate completion of staffing transactions, including new hires, transfers, promotions, retirements, layoffs, and displacements.
- Employee Engagement: Provide Tier 1 customer service support, answering calls, processing transactions, and resolving inquiries related to staffing, policies, and procedures.
- Process Improvement: Work with the HR team to identify and implement process improvements, enhancing our overall efficiency and effectiveness.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports on staffing transactions and analyze data to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Professional Development: Participate in regular meetings with HR colleagues to share best practices, discuss challenges, and establish plans for action.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum five years of general administrative and customer service experience required; minimum two years of experience in an HR support role preferred.
- Skills and Qualifications: Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to build collaborative relationships with diverse groups; high levels of integrity, honesty, and credibility; basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. CPS offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
