About the Role

The Washington State Department of Revenue is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Assistant 5 to support our Working Families Tax Credit division. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to the Division's leadership, ensuring the smooth operation of our daily activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Assistant Director and team members, including maintaining complex calendars, coordinating meetings and events, and supervising administrative staff.
  • Assist with budget monitoring, financial reporting, and data analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and implement effective administrative processes and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Represent the division on various agency committees and communicate agency-level decisions to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance the division's goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 4 or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience as an Administrative Assistant 3 or equivalent.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field, and three years of administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exceptional editing and writing skills, with the ability to create engaging content and presentations.
  • Experience with project management and organizational development, with a focus on quality control and performance measures.
  • Knowledge of state government organization and administrative procedures.
