Job Summary:

The Fabrication Quality Control Inspector at PowerSecure is responsible for ensuring the quality and conformity of fabricated products, including welds, paint, and metal fabrication. This role requires a strong understanding of quality assurance principles and the ability to inspect and test products to ensure they meet design documents, customer specifications, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and test fabricated products to ensure they meet quality and conformity standards
  • Identify and document defects or non-conformities
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments to ensure quality compliance and product improvement
  • Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures
  • Conduct training and coaching on quality control principles and procedures
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance and/or fabrication
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and industry standards
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, mechanical drawings, and welding and coating symbols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Associate Welding Inspector (CAWI) or Paint Inspector qualification
  • Certified Quality Inspector (CQQI) certification
  • Experience with quality control software and databases
