Job Title: Senior Test Engineer

At Fox Factory, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing, creating, executing, and leading Design Verification Plans (DVP) and problem-solving of new technologies and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement test methods, procedures, and data capture for new products
  • Contribute to testing by identifying component/product/vehicle performance issues based on analytical data
  • Develop system/platform DVPs and decide Pass/Fail on testing
  • Continuously improve the DVP process
  • Create custom test setups for complex projects
  • Prepare recommendations for individual test priorities within the group
  • Manage projects with limited oversight from management
  • Make recommendations on technical direction
  • Conduct testing and advise/lead training activities for peers
  • Manage 10 to 15 projects concurrently, handling complex technology developments and difficult customer interactions
Requirements:
  • Proficient PC skills required: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, 3D modeling
  • Ability to use Matlab, VB, ladder logic, C++ Java, or any other programming language that would benefit data processing and analysis
  • Strong reasoning skills and the ability to understand technical risks
  • Understanding of the market and ability to successfully operate segment vehicles
  • Ability to bring fresh ideas to improve company innovation and profitability

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

5+ years of relevant experience with either suspension damper development, power sports industry, or automotive industry preferred

Experience with setting up new test equipment/machines preferred

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Office/Test Lab Environment

Ability to sit for long periods of time

Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer

May lift up to 50 lbs.

Requires walking, standing, bending, and lifting for long periods of time
