Craven County, NC invites applications for a Lead Hospice Nurse position, reporting directly to the Director of Nursing.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in public health nursing, with experience in supervising hospice care teams.
The annual salary for this position is estimated to be around $70,695.00, with an additional incentive pay of $2,400.00 available.

Responsibilities:- Clinical Supervision (40%):
- This involves leading a team of nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care.
- The supervisor ensures that clinical practices align with industry standards and county policies.
- Assessment and Planning (25%):
- The Lead Hospice Nurse conducts thorough assessments of patient referrals to identify the most suitable level of care.
- They collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop personalized plans of care that meet the patient's unique needs.
- Nursing Support Services (25%):
- The supervisor oversees the day-to-day activities of nurses and other healthcare staff, ensuring they provide exceptional patient care.
- They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
- Professional Development (7%):
- The Lead Hospice Nurse engages in ongoing education and professional development to enhance their knowledge and skills.
- They are expected to maintain CPR certification and complete regular training sessions.
- Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Nursing or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least three years of experience in Public Health nursing, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
