Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed master electrician with electrical infrastructure estimating experience to join our team as a manager and leader.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for building a team of electricians to pursue industrial/commercial electrical contracting new-build and maintenance contracts throughout the state of Alabama to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of facility electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  1. Implement a business plan to build out the electrical construction division via proposal development/bidding, contract awards/execution, targeted annual revenue/profit growth, and strategic hiring of key personnel.
  2. Lead project estimating, preconstruction, and project management activities related to electrical construction projects.
  3. Respond to project-related assignments addressing construction, maintenance, repair, and inspection needs of electrical systems per owner contract.
  4. Perform preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on electrical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance, if applicable.
  5. Conduct special services such as troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing equipment malfunctions, and performing corrective actions, if applicable.
  6. Perform all required electrical testing in accordance with applicable codes and certification processes.
  7. Maintain accurate documentation of all electrical work performed.
  8. Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all safety protocols.
  9. Collaborate with the owner, other general or subcontractor staff to ensure seamless coordination of electrical construction and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
  • Master Electrician license (or equivalent in your jurisdiction).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or institutional electrical construction and maintenance.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating electrical construction projects.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in managing teams of electricians.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations (NFPA 70E).
  • Experience with large industrial and commercial electrical construction and maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
  • Experience with Hydroelectric, Solar, and EV charging stations highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in building, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems.
  • Must value safety as a core competency and first priority at all times.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
