As a Senior Field Testing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of construction materials and building components. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing quality assurance/quality control tests on construction materials and building components.
- Documenting test results and observations in accordance with project requirements.
- Communicating non-conforming test results to site project managers.
- Reviewing and comprehending specifications and plans in accordance with project documents.
- Maintaining and submitting daily field reports documenting test results and field observations.
- Providing necessary maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Transporting, operating, and caring for nuclear density gauge equipment provided in accordance with NV5's radiation safety policy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least four years of experience in the field.
- Valid driver's license.
- ACI Level I Certification.
- ICC Soils Special Inspector Certification (a plus).
- Radiation safety training for the use of nuclear density gauges (a plus).
- NICET certification (a plus).
- High level of competency in the ability to read plans and specifications.
