Job Title: Senior Field Testing Technician

NV5 is a leading provider of engineering and consulting services to public and private sectors. We deliver solutions through five business verticals: Construction Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, Utility Services, Program Management, and Environmental.

As a Senior Field Testing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of construction materials and building components. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing quality assurance/quality control tests on construction materials and building components.
  • Documenting test results and observations in accordance with project requirements.
  • Communicating non-conforming test results to site project managers.
  • Reviewing and comprehending specifications and plans in accordance with project documents.
  • Maintaining and submitting daily field reports documenting test results and field observations.
  • Providing necessary maintenance and calibration on assigned equipment in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Transporting, operating, and caring for nuclear density gauge equipment provided in accordance with NV5's radiation safety policy.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least four years of experience in the field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • ACI Level I Certification.
  • ICC Soils Special Inspector Certification (a plus).
  • Radiation safety training for the use of nuclear density gauges (a plus).
  • NICET certification (a plus).
  • High level of competency in the ability to read plans and specifications.
