Civil Materials Testing Technician

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform field and laboratory testing of construction materials (soils, concrete, steel, asphalt)
- Monitor construction activities at active construction sites
- Sample collection and logging
- Act as the field representative of the Project Engineer
- Coordinate between contractors and ATC Engineers
- Complete reports in a timely manner
- Act as ATC's primary representative at construction sites
- Abide by ATC's health and safety policies and procedures
- Drive company or personal vehicle in accordance with company policy
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience desired
- Good Computer Skills
- Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
- Commitment to safety
- Ability to lift 30 pounds of weight and work in a construction environment during hot and cold weather
- Positive Attitude and willingness to learn
Technical Requirements:
- Microsoft PC applications; WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint
- Performing field and laboratory testing of construction materials (soils, concrete, steel, asphalt)
- Monitoring construction activities at active construction sites
- ACI/NICET/ICC Certification in soils, Concrete or Masonry a plus
- Experience around construction and construction sites a plus
- Friendly personal presentation
Other miscellaneous qualities:
- Ability to travel 40% of the time
- Ability to perform moderately strenuous tasks
- Drive company or personal vehicle in accordance with company policy
