The Certification Compliance Coordinator will oversee and manage the daily functions related to program certifications for a designated portfolio of properties. This role is essential in ensuring adherence to various housing program regulations, including Low-Income Tax Credit, HUD, and Rural Development standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance by processing annual, interim, and unit transfer tenant income certifications across multiple affordable housing programs.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Update rent and subsidy information to guarantee accurate billing.
- Prepare and distribute annual recertification notices in accordance with property-specific requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by working collaboratively with residents and staff.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, communities, and compliance agencies.
- Safeguard resident confidentiality at all times.
- Conduct weekly reviews of housing software dashboards to monitor workflow and address any deficiencies.
- Maintain consistent physical presence at the assigned work location during scheduled hours.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.
- Certification as an Occupancy Specialist is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in affordable housing property management is preferred.
- Familiarity with HUD Section 8, Low-Income Tax Credit, and Rural Development regulations is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software is preferred.
- Strong data entry skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally for meetings and training as needed.
