About the Role
The primary function of the Respiratory Therapist is to assess, treat, and manage patients with respiratory or other cardiopulmonary conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver respiratory care according to physician directives and established protocols.
- Engage in the formulation and/or execution of patient care strategies.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations as well as accepted professional standards.
- Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members through effective communication.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy methods and objectives.
- Accurately document and maintain patient records.
- Must possess a Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC and current CPR certification.
- Preferred: Minimum of 18 months of experience in respiratory care, particularly in critical care environments.
