Job Summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for providing clinical services to patients, including evaluation, treatment, and prevention of disability, injury, disease, or other conditions of health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and provide physical therapy treatment programs for inpatients and outpatients
  • Evaluate and treat patients with various conditions, including musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiovascular disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to achieve patient goals
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Conduct patient education and training on proper use of assistive devices and equipment
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Certificate in Physical Therapy from an approved and accredited institution
  • New York State Physical Therapy Licensure/Registration or eligible
  • NYS License must be obtained within one year of employment
  • Experience in treating CVA, Trauma, Pediatric, and Orthopedic patients preferred
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated pediatric clinical experience
  • Demonstrated hand therapy experience
