Job Summary

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our invasive cardiology department, you will be responsible for performing duties related to circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring of invasive cardiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate radiographic equipment while adhering to radiation safety procedures.
  • Utilize physiologic recorder/database system expertise to recognize arrhythmias and normal/abnormal waveforms.
  • Operate manifold, power injector, and other support equipment, including VCR, ACT machines, oximeters, and transport monitors.
  • Develop cines when necessary according to policy.
  • Recognize basic equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot equipment in the room, reporting malfunctions to Biomed promptly if unable to resolve.
  • Exhibit a strong knowledge base of cardiovascular diseases and interpret data gathered during procedures, recognizing potential implications in patient care or complications.
  • Help to efficiently run the schedule by maintaining a smooth and steady rate of work, working independently and communicating with other room staff and the schedule coordinator to maximize the productivity of the entire department.
  • Anticipate physician needs by being knowledgeable of procedures performed in the department and equipment necessary for procedures, setting up sterile trays and assisting physicians during procedures using septic technique.
  • Assist in maintaining the appropriate level of medications and supplies stocked in the room.
  • Scrub assist for AAA, TAVR, and complex endovascular procedures, and radiographic/digital imaging technique for RTRs.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
  • Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting.
