Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Ascension Via Christi. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare facilities by coordinating patient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to schedule appointments and procedures.
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information to ensure accurate billing and registration.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to schedule procedures and ensure timely completion of patient care.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families, addressing their concerns and needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve issues related to patient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
