Job Overview

The Ski and Ride School Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in managing the administrative aspects of the department. This position involves overseeing timekeeping and payroll processes, managing training materials, facilitating ticket and lesson sales, and assisting with departmental scheduling. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the supervisory team, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a welcoming attitude towards both staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  • Manage payroll processes for the Ski and Ride School, ensuring accurate oversight of timecards and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Conduct timely reviews and approvals of timecards on a weekly basis, ensuring all incentives are tracked and submitted to HR for bi-weekly payroll.
  • Assist in delivering Child Abuse Prevention Training and ensure all necessary documentation is collected from Ski and Ride School team members.
  • Promote and adhere to safety protocols within the Ski and Ride School environment.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy workspace.
  • Address inquiries and concerns from guests with professionalism and empathy.
  • Ensure confidentiality regarding employee and departmental information.
  • Coordinate effectively with Reservations and Ticketing departments.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the check-out and check-in processes for ski rental equipment, ensuring proper completion and storage of rental documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Guest Relations team to manage ticket sales stations, ensuring they are well-stocked and functioning correctly.
  • Troubleshoot any issues related to the ticketing system and guest inquiries as needed.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings, contributing to discussions and initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
  • Preferred: College degree or equivalent experience in the ski industry.
  • Preferred: Previous experience in ski rentals, ticket sales, or ski instruction.
  • Preferred: Administrative experience in a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Experience with POS and reporting systems is advantageous.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work indoors and occasionally outdoors in varying winter weather conditions.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, particularly during peak periods.
  • Capability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing thirty (30) pounds or more.
  • Dexterity to operate a keyboard and handle ski equipment.
  • Engage in various physical activities including standing, sitting, walking, bending, carrying, lifting, reaching, and kneeling.
