Regional Property Manager

At The NRP Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Property Manager to lead our team of property managers and oversee the operations of our tax credit properties in San Antonio, Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of properties to achieve financial and operational targets
  • Provide feedback on capital needs and other asset plan items
  • Monitor employee performance and take action to improve portfolio or asset performance
  • Complete annual performance reviews and communicate employee performance expectations and achievement
  • Build and motivate employee teams
  • Manage community wage, salary, bonus, incentive, and commission issues
  • Ensure all NRP community procedures are being accomplished and monitor community performance
  • Monitor community financials and review variance reports
  • Work with Community Managers to prepare annual budgets and property plans
  • Approve community vendors and purchase orders
  • Perform regular community inspections and manage portfolio rents
  • Manage portfolio resident selection criteria and monitor collections activities
  • Manage portfolio vendors and monitor performance
  • Recruit, interview, and hire community managers and maintenance managers
  • Support Community Managers on resident issues, vendor issues, and compliance approvals
  • Coordinate portfolio training, marketing, compliance, accounting, IT, and HR activities
  • Ensure Regional Maintenance program is executed throughout the portfolio
  • Prepare and deliver Regional Portfolio reports
  • Initiate new programs, procedures, or practices in the portfolio
  • Represent the portfolio in Apartment Association, local PHA's, state agencies, etc.
  • Coordinate pre-lease setup of new communities and hire and train staff
  • Coordinate and manage community audits by Syndicators, state agencies, etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in property management with recent experience in a Regional Property Manager or Director role
  • Strong experience with market-rate communities and working knowledge of applicable Landlord Tenant Laws, Fair Housing Regulations, IRS Section 42 - LIHTC Program, and other laws as they relate to property-specific guidelines and occupancy standards
  • Strong computer skills, especially in the Microsoft Office Suite, and knowledge of YARDI software
  • Valid Driver's License
