Job Summary

Keller, a leading geotechnical construction company, is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Coordinator to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for processing payroll, preparing certified payroll reports, and ensuring compliance with prevailing wage and union requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Process payroll weekly, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare and distribute certified payroll reports, meeting regulatory requirements
  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, maintaining accurate records
  • Review and send new hire paperwork for union employees, ensuring seamless onboarding
  • Serve as the company's union audit liaison, ensuring compliance and resolving issues
  • Process payroll in compliance with state and federal regulations, including FICA, FUTA, and SUI
  • Assist with other projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
Requirements
  • Minimum 15 years of full-time payroll experience, with a strong background in construction prevailing wage
  • Experience with D365 and Ceridian is preferred, as well as online payroll reporting
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and resolve complex issues
  • Motivated, self-starter with high self-esteem and confidence, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, including advanced Excel, Word, and Outlook skills
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or HR experience is a plus
