About the Job

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) at Mindful Sprouts, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with diverse exceptionalities and their families. You will work in various settings, including clients' homes, schools, and community environments.

The BCBA will be responsible for consulting, providing training to caregivers, conducting behavioral evaluations of clients, and designing behavior and individual support plans. As a supervisor, the BCBA will serve as a clinical teacher, educating, observing, assessing, and supervising the educational activities and service delivery of Behavioral Technicians and Program Coordinators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Behavioral Assessments: Administer, conduct, evaluate, and supervise the implementation of behavioral assessment measures and functional assessment measures.
  • Individualized Goals: Develop individualized goals and objectives for home, community, and school-based programs and design behavior support plans based on functional assessment data.
  • Staff Training: Teach Registered Behavioral Technicians the proper implementation of clinical behavior programs and plans, data collection systems, and all necessary monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Caregiver Training: Conduct regular caregiver and/or teacher training.
  • Ongoing Program Oversight: Be responsible for an ongoing individual program, oversight, and conducting weekly supervision meetings with Registered Behavior Technicians.
  • Client Program Updates: Update client program and material.
  • Professional Conduct: Arrive at appointments, meetings, training, etc. at the scheduled time and return phone calls, electronic mail, and other correspondence in a timely fashion.
  • Professionalism: Conduct oneself in a professional manner and treat all clients, customers, co-workers, and others with dignity, respect, and in a culturally sensitive manner.
  • Communication: Meet regularly with the Clinical Director and notify them immediately of issues impacting the client's progress and satisfaction.
  • Documentation: Maintain records in accordance with policies and procedures and complete all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Caseload Management: Maintain a billable caseload and document billable hours according to state and federal regulation.
  • Professional Development: Participate in professional meetings or conferences deemed to be beneficial to Mindful Sprouts and professional growth.

Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in applied behavior analysis, psychology, special education, social work, speech-language pathology, or related field required, Ph.D. preferred.
  • Certification: BCBA certification and/or licensed professional.
  • Experience: At least two years of experience serving individuals with ASDs or related diagnoses with a full range of skills and abilities.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge and deep understanding of behavior-analytic therapies, experience with staff training and supervision, excellent writing and communication skills, highly organized with the ability to multitask.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Criminal Background Check: Must have successfully passed a criminal background screening.
