Job Summary

We are seeking highly qualified candidates for Associate Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the academic mission of the department through teaching, research, and service.

Responsibilities

  • Teach medical students, residents, and genetics fellows in the outpatient and inpatient clinical settings
  • Conduct research in human genetics, including statistical genetics, computational biology, pharmacogenetics/genomics, functional genomics, genome editing, structural variation analysis, cancer genetics, and translational genomic medicine
  • Provide clinical care in one or more of the following specialties: clinical genetics, biochemical genetics, mitochondrial medicine, genomic medicine
  • Participate in departmental and institutional service activities

Requirements

  • MD degree
  • Subspecialty board certification in Clinical Genetics
  • Expertise in human genetics, including statistical genetics, computational biology, pharmacogenetics/genomics, functional genomics, genome editing, structural variation analysis, cancer genetics, and translational genomic medicine

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching and mentoring
  • Research experience in human genetics
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
