Job Title: Territory Manager - Small Market Business Development

We are seeking an experienced Territory Manager to join our Small Market Business Development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving profitable small commercial growth in the designated territory by developing and managing assigned agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor market conditions, competitive landscape, and confirm information gathered within the market space.
  • Use territory results, market intelligence, competitor products, and rates to identify small commercial growth opportunities for the agencies.
  • Analyze quality and quantity of risks underwritten and prepare reports.
  • Communicate with agencies to establish the company as the provider of choice for the territory for all enterprise products, with an emphasis on commercial lines.
  • Manage small market commercial production, profit, and service objectives within assigned territory.
Requirements:
  • Seven years of progressively more responsible underwriting and sales experience in commercial business preferred.
  • Expertise in markets consistent with our underwriting appetite and product portfolio preferred.
  • Thorough working knowledge of commercial underwriting, pricing, and coverage for small market business.
  • Strong understanding of business concepts, including financial pro forma, operating plans, goal setting, sales, and marketing techniques.
