Job Description

Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Architect to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge cloud-based solutions. As a key member of our Cloud Enterprise Technology Services (CETS) program, you will have the opportunity to work on complex cloud architecture projects and collaborate with our team of experts to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and integrate cloud computing and virtualization systems to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Provide detailed information for hardware and software selection, cloud service provider selection, implementation techniques, and application data migration techniques and tools.
  • Develop and conduct testing of cloud and virtualization systems to ensure they meet performance and security standards.
  • Maintain technical expertise in cloud computing and virtualization technologies, including cloud service provider architecture, design, and configuration.
  • Evaluate and report on new cloud and virtualization technologies to enhance capabilities of cloud-based and virtualized services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business objectives.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
  • Fifteen years of combined computer/network architecture experience and five years within the past eight years of experience in Cloud Architecture is acceptable in lieu of degree.
  • 10 years technical and/or management experience on US Army or DoD programs and projects that provided expert software O&M of Army enterprise systems.
  • 5 years technical and/or management experience supported industry and/or Government Sector cloud initiatives at an enterprise level.
  • 1 year, within the past 3 years of experience defining organizational project cloud migration objectives and requirements that map to enterprise cloud vision and/or initiatives, establishing system architecture, ensuring IA Compliance, directing, coordinating, and completing project efforts, interfacing with Government personnel, and providing progress reports.
  • 3 years, within the past 5 years of experience with CSPs (AWS or Azure) in cloud-based disaster recovery (DR) and multi-region / multi-availability zone (AZ) high availability (HA) (AWS and/or Microsoft Azure, and/or if needed for the new CSPs).

Certifications and Clearance

  • Must have a Secret clearance.
  • Must have a CISSP or CCSP Certification.
