Job Title: Inventory Manager

Restaurant Depot is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager to join our team. As an Inventory Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of physical inventory at the branch, using a scan gun to obtain information, and making decisions on pricing to maintain gross margins.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain accurate physical inventory at the branch
  2. Use a scan gun to obtain information and make decisions on pricing
  3. Communicate margin issues to buyers and follow up for timely response
  4. Review sales price differential report to determine if front-end pricing is accurate
  5. Conduct cycle counts and train staff for inventory purposes
  6. Coordinate Inventory Control with Receiving, Perishables, Dry Goods Floor, and Front End
  7. Supervise Stock-taker and coordinate writing of adjustment vouchers to vendors
  8. Responsible for liquor and tobacco tax filings with governmental agencies
  9. Report shrink and research causes
  10. Control markdowns & voids by monitoring damages and overstock
  11. Analyze and determine reasons for negative inventory and margins
  12. Review store statistical reports for abnormal or erroneous data

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 4 years experience in retail or wholesale
  2. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  3. Background in Physical Inventory maintenance/control
  4. Proven leadership skills; ability to supervise and direct employees
  5. Effective oral and written communication skills
  6. Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation
  7. Must be PC literate; working knowledge of MS Office

Work Environment:

  1. Work in a warehouse environment with moderate temperatures and occasional exposure to refrigerated areas and freezers
  2. May be required to perform manual labor and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
