Job Overview

AECOM's Water Business Line is in search of a skilled and experienced Senior Water Project Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for overseeing water and wastewater initiatives, providing a unique chance to contribute to a successful and established group that tackles a variety of technical challenges while promoting career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of water and wastewater projects from the initial planning stages through to design and construction.
  • Accountable for project outcomes, including financial performance, scheduling, staffing, execution, and project closure.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members.
  • Ensure adherence to company project policies and procedures.
  • Engage in community activities related to water, including participation in relevant professional organizations.
  • Drive business development efforts by pursuing new clients and projects while ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, focusing on the development and mentoring of team members and effectively working within diverse teams.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Must hold a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proven expertise in water and wastewater treatment processes, pumping stations, and both collection and distribution systems, along with experience in client and consultant relations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering with at least 10 years of experience in water/wastewater/water resources consulting and engineering management.
  • PE license in New Jersey or the ability to obtain it within 9 months of employment.
