Job Summary

Gannett Fleming is seeking a highly experienced Senior Traffic Project Manager to lead our Transportation Practice in East Brunswick, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct all aspects of traffic projects with high technical complexity, involving diverse project staff.
  • Develop and maintain strategic market position and service offerings for the group to align with client needs and Gannett Fleming's initiatives.
  • Serve as Project Manager, Task Manager, and/or Traffic Technical Advisor on projects and pursuits.
  • Mentor traffic staff and prepare traffic impact studies, including modeling and simulations, maintenance of traffic plans, and traffic signal design.
  • Market Traffic Analysis and Engineering services and assist in proposal preparation for public and private sector clients.
  • Utilize HCS and Synchro software and perform quality, schedule, and cost control functions on assigned projects and tasks.
  • Manage and deliver multiple project commitments, both new and existing.
  • Support internal teams and service outside clients directly.
Requirements:
  • BS in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline required.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in NY required, NJ PE preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of traffic-related design experience in traffic/transportation engineering required.
  • Familiarity with local client design standards, including NJDOT, NJTA, NYCDOT, CTDOT, MTA, PANYNJ, a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in civil/roadway design, intersection design, and traffic signal system design required.
  • Experience applying standard principles to traffic engineering studies to identify and evaluate alternatives.
  • Adept at working collaboratively and building strong working relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • History of driving successful business development and strategic planning for key pursuits.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Track record of successfully completing projects and team leadership.
  • Experience in writing/development of project proposals and letters of interest.
  • Solid client relationships and willingness to lead bid, proposal, and presentation efforts.
