About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical Acute unit at Providence St. Joseph Hospital in Orange, CA.

Unit Overview

Our 45-bed unit is a fast-paced environment that cares for a variety of patients, from observation to inpatient. Our team provides high-quality care to patients with complex medical conditions, including those requiring telemetry monitoring and vasoactive drips.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certificate - NIH Stroke Scale Training Course upon hire.
  • 1 year Nursing experience.
