Position Overview:
This role involves conducting thorough assessments to safely perform both inpatient and outpatient MRI examinations, including starting IVs. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in breast MRI and breast MRI biopsies, along with some hospital experience.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Eligible employees may receive an 18% night shift differential when applicable. Proficiency in both CT and MRI is essential, and current licensure in Arizona for both modalities is required.

Located in Gilbert, Arizona, Banner Gateway Medical Center features 286 private rooms, 13 operating suites, and a 46-bed emergency department, sharing a campus with the Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center. Our WIS and NICU services support an average of 4,000 deliveries annually, with key specialties including oncology, obstetrics, bariatric surgery, and emergency services tailored to the evolving needs of our community.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Execute procedures by verifying and following referring providers' orders, utilizing independent judgment and established methodologies.
2. Educate patients and their families about the procedures and treatments, demonstrating professionalism and fostering teamwork for optimal patient outcomes.
3. Produce high-quality imaging and prepare relevant patient information for timely interpretation, maintaining accurate documentation.
4. Demonstrate competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures as applicable, ensuring adherence to safety policies.
5. Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, performing quality control measurements and troubleshooting equipment issues as necessary.
6. Uphold ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice, ensuring confidentiality of all work-related information.
7. Ensure efficient departmental workflow, monitoring supply inventory to prevent service interruptions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required. National certification from ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS is necessary based on the modalities of practice, along with state licensure as applicable. As of August 1, 2019, all newly hired Multi-Modality Technologists must possess advanced certification in a specialty if applicable. BLS certification is mandatory.
This position requires clinical knowledge typically acquired through two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist. The Multi-Modality Technologist II will be expected to rotate and cover departmental schedules as needed in areas where certifications apply. Certification in at least two of the following modalities is required: Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, or PET.
