Job Responsibilities:
As a CT Imaging Specialist, you will utilize advanced computerized tomography (CT) technology to create detailed cross-sectional images of patients' internal structures. Your role will involve:
1. **Interpreting Physician Instructions:** Accurately following scanning directives provided by physicians.
2. **Administering Contrast Materials:** Safely preparing and administering contrast agents as necessary for imaging procedures.
3. **Operating Equipment:** Proficiently managing CT scanning equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
4. **Patient Positioning:** Skillfully positioning patients to capture the most effective images.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
A. **Educational Background:**
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an A.M.A approved radiologic technology program with advanced training in CT and MRI.
B. **Licenses and Certifications:**
- Valid radiologic technologist license in New York State.
- Advanced certification as a CT technologist.
- Current ARRT certification.
- Certification for contrast injections as required.
C. **Experience:**
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in the field.
Work Environment:
This role requires physical stamina, as you will be maneuvering equipment and assisting patients with mobility challenges. Adherence to safety protocols is essential to minimize radiation exposure for both the technologist and the patient.
