Fleet Response is in search of a skilled Reconstruction Project Supervisor to enhance our dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

Develop precise and timely scopes of work. The Supervisor is expected to manage estimates effectively, ensuring they align with budgetary constraints and timelines established by the Project Manager (PM).

Technical Proficiency

Possess comprehensive knowledge of all trades and subcontractors involved in restoration projects.

Assessment of Needs and Risks

  1. Scopes: Timely and accurate scopes must be generated and submitted to the project manager for evaluation, crucial for our estimating team to finalize an estimate for insurance approval.
  2. Tools: The Supervisor should have personal tools ready for use and coordinate with rental services for specialized equipment as needed. Maintain company-owned tools as required.
  3. Safety: Ensure a secure job site, prioritizing the safety of all personnel and subcontractors.
  4. Materials: The Supervisor is accountable for ensuring all materials are available on-site when needed by subcontractors or employees. Coordination with suppliers is essential, and material purchases must adhere to budget guidelines.
Effective Communication
  • Introduce yourself to clients and conduct a thorough needs assessment.
  • Manage client expectations regarding workflow and processes.
  • Address client objections and concerns promptly.
  • Share the completed estimate with clients to ensure mutual agreement on the proposal.
  • Maintain weekly communication with clients while awaiting estimate approval to prevent confusion and potential job losses.
  • Ensure clients receive an approved schedule (provided by the PM).
  • Inform clients of any schedule changes as they arise.
  • Clarify material allowances with clients.
  • Complete and secure signatures for change orders.
  • Conduct final inspections and walk-throughs before job completion.
  • Document all job statuses and completion dates, informing the PM accordingly.
Management of Systems
  • Ensure accurate scopes are completed and sent to the project manager.
  • Document weekly client communications in the management system.
  • Upload daily notes and photographs during the project.
  • Create change orders and material selection forms.
  • Compile final documentation and photographs.
Scope of Work
  • Provide a detailed scope of work to the reconstruction manager for estimating purposes, demonstrating the technical expertise necessary to restore properties to their pre-loss condition.
  • Understand the Work Breakdown Structure and ensure projects are completed within the assigned budget (provided by the PM).
  • Familiarize yourself with the project schedule (provided by the PM).
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure adherence to the published schedule.
  • Guarantee timely project completion.
Subcontractor Oversight
  • Ensure subcontractors arrive on time, are professionally attired, and adhere to agreements.
  • Prevent discussions of pricing or payment with clients.
  • Discourage any discussions of additional side work with clients.
  • Conduct quality control on subcontractor work and create punch lists.
  • Address any deficiencies with subcontractors promptly.
  • Communicate any client complaints to subcontractors.
  • Encourage subcontractors to submit final invoices promptly upon project completion.
  • Obtain OSHA 10 Certification within the first 90 days (company-sponsored).
