Position Summary: In this role, you will report directly to the Branch Manager and be responsible for managing all aspects of distribution operations. This includes overseeing the receiving, storage, inventory management, order picking, packing, and dispatching of construction supply materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all orders and inter-branch transfers are accurately picked, checked, packed, and loaded according to company standards.
  • Maintain the integrity of orders, ensuring correct materials, quantities, and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the Inbound/Inventory Manager to effectively control inventory and minimize discrepancies.
  • Oversee the processing of parcel shipments for timely customer delivery.
  • Foster a motivating work environment that encourages high performance and adherence to standards.
  • Communicate company policies clearly and administer corrective actions when necessary.
  • Promote teamwork and communication among staff to achieve operational objectives.
  • Take responsibility for company projects that may extend beyond your immediate duties.
  • Work with the distribution center team to maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts.
  • Typical work hours range from 45 to 50 hours per week.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial warehousing or distribution operations.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a college degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using ERP software and understanding warehouse layouts for planning.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is advantageous.
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capacity to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Capability to work in various climate conditions.
  • Analytical skills, including basic math proficiency.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts, with a willingness to be recertified.
  • Detail-oriented with a hands-on approach to tasks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to guide and support team members.
