Essential Qualifications:

  • This is a field-based role. Candidates must reside within the designated area.
  • Experience as a Property Adjuster is required; preference for candidates with carrier experience over independent adjuster experience, along with a solid understanding of policy and claims assessment.
  • Proficiency in Xactimate is necessary.
  • Strong customer service skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with drone technology is advantageous.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Property Claims Representative to enhance our field claims team. In this role, you will ensure a consistent and positive claims experience for our clients through thorough investigation, assessment, negotiation, and resolution of property claims. You will have the opportunity to utilize innovative technologies, including drones for property evaluations. Alongside on-site assessments, we employ virtual claims management software to guide our clients expertly through the claims process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducts investigations into claims by determining applicable policy coverage, assessing, negotiating, and resolving assigned claims.
  • Initiates communication with insured parties, claimants, and relevant stakeholders to collect essential information, obtain recorded statements when necessary, and clarify the overall claims process.
  • Performs physical and/or virtual assessments of damaged properties, evaluates damages, and prepares written estimates in accordance with policy provisions and liability.

Qualifications:

  • Multilingual capabilities are preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel (or equivalent software), Xactimate, and/or other claims estimating tools is required.
  • Possesses a solid understanding of residential and commercial construction practices.
  • Maintains the necessary adjuster's licensing as mandated by the states in which we operate.
  • This position functions in a remote and virtual office environment, utilizing a mobile office/company vehicle for transportation to appointments.
  • Work hours may extend beyond standard business hours based on operational needs.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license with the ability to operate a vehicle.
  • Physical capability to walk, reach, climb, and crawl to inspect damages, sometimes under challenging conditions or inclement weather.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and climb ladders weighing up to 50 pounds for roof inspections may be necessary.
  • May be required to respond to catastrophic events.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.
