Key Responsibilities as an Aide:

  • Support individuals in enhancing their skills and promoting independence during various activities, including breaks and mealtimes.
  • Assist in the execution of DHSP objectives in both group and individual settings.
  • Provide physical assistance to individuals as required.
  • Document progress towards DHSP goals for each individual.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of those in your care.
  • Uphold the dignity, rights, and freedoms of the individuals we support.

Qualifications for the Aide Position:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
  • Experience or training in working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are advantageous.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and assist individuals with mobility needs.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently.
  • Bi-lingual candidates, particularly in Portuguese, are preferred.
