This role requires a dedicated individual to engage in a 5-day onsite work schedule.

Job Title: QA Analyst

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Location: Dallas, TX

Job Responsibilities:

The following are key responsibilities associated with this position:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive test cases for both web and desktop applications.
  2. Analyze business, functional, and design specifications to ensure a thorough understanding of project deliverables.
  3. Determine testing requirements based on specifications, aligning test case requirements with coverage objectives.
  4. Create and execute Test Plans to guarantee the delivery of high-quality software that adheres to company standards.
  5. Identify potential quality concerns as per established protocols and promptly escalate issues to management.
  6. On certain occasions, presence in the office may be required throughout the week.

Qualifications and Experience:

Applicants should possess the following:

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in testing critical customer-facing applications.
  • A college degree or equivalent educational background.
  • Familiarity with qTest and JIRA is advantageous.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Essential Skills and Competencies:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

  • Experience in testing web services is essential.
  • Strong understanding of QA processes for mobile, web, and backend services.
  • Extensive experience in backend testing, including data mapping, ETL processes, and the ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • Experience in conducting usability tests, with a strong ability to understand users' perspectives.
  • Proficiency in defining and executing automation test cases, as well as scheduling automation scripts from a test case management tool.
  • Testing of mobile applications across various devices, including smartphones and tablets.
  • Ability to analyze and develop test scenarios based on functional requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of testing tools, particularly qTest.
  • Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium or UFT.
  • Proficient in using tools like ALM, JIRA, and all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of API and Microservices is required.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to thrive in a fast-paced, lean environment, demonstrating a hands-on team player approach.
