About the Position

We're seeking an Electrical Engineer 1 (New Grad) to join our team in Houston, TX. As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for producing electrical project deliverables, including power system studies, electrical area classification drawings, and wiring design. You'll work closely with our team to specify electrical equipment, such as Motor Control Centers and Switchgear, for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reports to the Lead Electrical Engineer on a particular project.
  • Monitors and advises the Lead EE on changes.
  • Understands design concepts and design data for assigned scope and assures technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements.
  • Prepares Engineering Change Requests as required.
  • Keeps track of progress and updates schedules on particular tasks.
  • Researches suitable solutions and estimated cost and timescales.
  • Generates electrical equipment and construction specifications.
  • Generates electrical equipment requisitions, analyzes quotes, manages POs, and reviews vendor documents.
  • Independently evaluates the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
  • Applies standard engineering tasks and exhibits a working knowledge of applicable codes.
  • Reviews and generates design data from various inputs.
  • Performs sophisticated and complicated designs and electrical calculations in accordance with established company standards.
  • Coordinates details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines.
  • Assists designers and drafters in their assignments.
  • Prepares and/or supervises engineering reports, studies, calculations, and checks drawings as required.
About You

We're looking for motivated, creative, and quality-focused applicants with a minimum of a BSEE from an accredited university, with exposure or experience in Power Systems. EIT certification or the ability to complete EIT certification is required. If you're a good analytical, mathematical, database, spreadsheet, and computer skills, and accurate with data and calculations, we'd love to hear from you.
