About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior-Level Electrical Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX. As a key member of our Substation Engineering department, you will play a critical role in the design and project management of high voltage substation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution
  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve complex electrical engineering issues
  • Prepare technical reports and present project information to clients
  • Collaborate with peers to share knowledge and best practices
  • Travel to client sites as needed
Requirements
  • BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
  • 5+ years of experience in Medium Voltage Power Systems design
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in substation design (138kV and above)
  • Ability to prepare substation grounding calculations and direct stroke shielding calculations
  • Physical layout and protection & controls experience
  • PE license
  • AutoCAD experience
