We are looking for a dedicated Cyber Security Incident Responder to join our team at Nine Mind Solutions. This role is crucial in assisting our clients with the identification, reaction, mitigation, and documentation of cyber threats impacting their networks. The position requires flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree
  • Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
  • Clearance: Active TOP SECRET clearance with the capability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Suitability: Must be able to secure DHS Suitability prior to employment
  • Experience: 5+ years in a related field
  • Hands-on expertise in identifying, responding to, mitigating, and/or documenting cyber threats affecting client networks, including:
  • Intrusion analysis and incident response experience
  • Familiarity with intrusion detection systems
  • Computer network monitoring and surveillance
  • Understanding of network protocols, devices, operating systems, and secure architectures
  • Experience in computer evidence collection, forensic analysis, and data recovery
  • Knowledge of computer network forensics
  • Proficiency in system log analysis
  • Awareness of current cyber threats and the tactics, techniques, and procedures used to compromise networks
  • Experience with network intrusion detection and response methodologies
  • Ability to document processes effectively
  • Capability to respond to crises with objectivity
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications
  • Ability to collaborate across various agencies and locations
Responsibilities:
  • Support the identification, response, mitigation, and documentation of cyber threats impacting client networks
  • Maintain knowledge of current vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies in cyber security operations
  • Generate reports and briefs to accurately represent the current threat landscape and associated risks
  • Utilize customer, community, and open-source reporting for analysis
  • Provide analysis for correlated information sources
  • Assist clients in proactively investigating cyber activities targeting their information and infrastructure
  • Support the training department in educating staff about cyber threats
  • Collaborate with other government cyber threat analysis entities
  • Maintain proficiency in creating visualization charts, link analysis diagrams, and executing database queries
  • Analyze and report on cyber threats while assisting in the identification, monitoring, and investigation of network intrusions
  • Additional responsibilities may include providing support for high-tech investigations involving evidence collection, forensic analysis, data recovery, and network assessments
  • Ensure compliance with required Information Assurance training
