Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve our annual giving, government and foundation grants, endowment bequests, and capital campaigns goals.
  • Lead and manage a team of development staff to achieve fundraising objectives and provide coaching and training to next-level staff and volunteer leaders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with top community leaders, donors, and stakeholders to secure major gifts and cultivate a culture of philanthropy within the organization.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to inspire and engage our members, participants, and community in our mission and cause.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of annual campaigns, capital development programs, and endowment initiatives to drive growth and impact.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
  • Five or more years of professional experience in fundraising, preferably in the YMCA or non-profit sector.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage others in our mission and cause.
  • Knowledge of giving and charitable vehicles, as well as foundation and government grant writing expertise.
