Job Summary

As a Materials Supervisor at LSG Sky Chefs, you will oversee a team responsible for purchasing, receiving, and delivering internal stock. Your primary goal will be to ensure seamless operations and meet the diverse needs of our valued customers.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to ensure financial and customer requirements are met.
  • Monitor and control food costs, comparing actual to billed costs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Determine par levels and order quantities based on airline specifications, menus, and vendor lead time to maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Lead a team of personnel responsible for purchasing, receiving, putting away, and delivering internal stock.
  • Coordinate month-end inventory and reporting processes, reviewing results and creating action plans for variances.
  • Ensure the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed, with all delivery times met timely.
  • Conduct daily work group meetings to discuss progress and address any concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with all government regulatory agencies' standards, including FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP, etc.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
  • One to three years of experience in materials management, purchasing, inventory, and/or warehouse management is strongly preferred.
  • One to three years of supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing and supply chain management.
  • Proven success in improving work processes, leading change, and role modeling positive behaviors as well as change agent skills in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Established ability to identify the vision and produce goals with realistic plans to achieve them.
  • Ability to interact with employees, customers, and vendors at all levels.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and SAP MM, a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations.
