UIC Government Services and the Bowhead Family of Companies are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of civil and vertical structures in remote Alaska.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise UICN work crews and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of contract work and warranty work.
- Responsible for supervision, direction, and safety of work crews during the construction process.
- Read and interpret plans and specifications, and utilize/maintain project schedules.
- Work with Project Managers to budget, forecast, and manage craft labor, equipment, materials, small tools, consumables, and general working environment.
- Logistics understanding of barging and air cargo efforts, including unloading, staging, and storing of material, food, and equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 15 years of construction experience, with 7-10 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience working on remote construction projects, including school projects.
- Cloud-based construction systems and Microsoft systems experience.
- OSHA 30-hour certification and OSHA Competent Person certification.
The work environment is that of a construction site, with potential exposure to loud noises, extremes of heat or cold, and hazards. The physical demands of the job include strenuous walking, standing, and/or climbing, heavy lifting and carrying, and working on uneven walking surfaces.
